The primary objective of the campus is to train professionals capable of harnessing quantum technology's potential, transforming Iași into a European reference point in this domain. “Quantum technology represents the future. Through this partnership with IBM, we offer access to top-tier educational resources and research infrastructure. Together, we are preparing the next generations for the challenges and opportunities of the quantum revolution,” said Cristian Berariu, the project's initiator.
The activity focuses on four strategic research directions:
With the support of local and central authorities, the campus joins global initiatives to accelerate digital transformation. Through its state-of-the-art infrastructure and IBM's expertise, the project becomes a driver of progress for the North-East region and a bridge between Romania and centers of excellence worldwide. In addition to courses, scholarships, and training and research programs already planned for implementation, the campus supports the development of the local academic and scientific community through career and innovation opportunities, contributing to transforming Iași into a European hub for cutting-edge technologies.
